Who we are & what we do...

Originating from a farming, agricultural and haulage contracting background, established in the North Staffordshire hills of 1963, age 17, Malcolm Harrison began. In the autumn of 1975, he made a conservative decision to drive forward a commercial vehicles & plant trading company leading to successfully developing firm relations with an extensive customer base, ranging from small family businesses to the most well-known haulage, distribution & plant businesses throughout the UK & International Markets.

Over 45 years of industry experience and a firmly established and expansive network has given us a wealth of knowledge in successfully identifying the requirements of our customers, whether selling or buying assets or businesses.

In 1998 due to the demands of the industry, we further expanded our business to include "Malcolm Harrison Auctions" specialists in onsite auctions, dedicated to having auctions at our customers premises in order to maximise equipment values and customer service . To date we have  accumulated a total of 570 public auctions, mainly 50% being transport and 50% plant related to date. Auctions have been awarded to us mainly due to retirement, change of direction & fleet renewal programmes. The success of Malcolm Harrison Auctions has been brought about by our extensive knowledge and understanding of the industry and the people within it.

Today, Malcolm Harrison’s remains a family business and it’s family culture is highlighted in the customer care and confidentiality being of utmost importance to us. This has led to the continued expansion of our personally run Auction business and our commercial vehicles & plant trading knowledge. Our staff are experienced, highly qualified and knowledgeable within the industry throughout and have extensive backgrounds and links through agricultural, transport and plant hire industries.

Our confidential & professional service also includes fleet/business valuations for business owners, accountants, solicitors, company mergers, forward planning and fleet renewal programmes.
